Please note this new Landfill Policy. As of October 31, 2005:
Any account that has been billed three consecutive months will be considered delinquent. A letter will be sent revoking the individual or business's privilege to charge at the landfill. Until the bill is paid, landfill privileges will be suspended. Once the bill has been paid, the individual or business will be allowed to come to the landfill, but on a cash basis only.
Due to the few who do not weigh in and weigh out, a sign will be posted stating: In accordance with State Statute 21-3722, Dumping trash or garbage of any kind without permission is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of up to $1,000.00.
The Cheyenne County Landfill no longer accepts grass clippings. The landfill will accept small branches, leaves and twigs. Please dispose of your grass clippings at the St. Francis Recycling Center.
The policy at the Cheyenne County Landfill is CASH ONLY. ( A charge account may be established after filling out an application.)
